Our Materials
STERLING SILVER
We only use 925 sterling silver, never plated. Our 925 sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals creating an immensely durable material. We take great care in ensuring we only ever source 100% recycled silver, considerably lowering emissions without sacrificing quality.
14K GOLD FILLED
Our 14k Gold filled is a solid layer of gold permanently bonded to a base metal. The layer of gold must be equal to at least 1/20th the weight of the total item. Unlike gold plated, it will not peel or flake and is a durable metal which is also an economical alternative to pure gold.
14K ROSE GOLD FILLED
Our Rose gold filled comprises a solid layer of 14k gold bonded to a base metal. The rose colour is obtained by alloying gold with copper. The layer of gold must be equal to at least 1/20th the weight of the total item. Unlike rose gold plated, it will not peel or flake and is a durable metal.
COPPER
We only use real, raw solid high quality copper which we source from another small business. Copper has been known for it’s unique healing properties, it’s antimicrobial and resistance to corrosion that has been worn and used for centuries. They are not plated nor do they have any lacquer so they age naturally beautifully.
Recycled Metals
A huge amount of the metals we use are recycled. We have written reassurances from our suppliers that their manufacturers are committed to using recycled materials where feasible. We will only use ethically sourced and conflict free precious metals. Whilst we adhere to this policy due to the increase in the demand for gold and silver our suppliers are unable to promise that every single gram is recycled.
GEMSTONES
Our crystals, beads and gemstones are handpicked and have been acquired from another local small business which we trust. They have been sourced from reputable companies and family-owned businesses around the world. To us, attention to detail on quality is paramount.
DIAMONDS
We use pure diamonds in their raw form. Our diamonds are sourced under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, ensuring we do not source “blood diamond” or “conflict diamond”. The Scheme regulates and tracks the trade of diamonds and rough materials across borders from mine to customer.
CORDS
Nylon, Hemp, Satin Nylon are just a few of the cords we use to create our unique jewellery. Our cords have been through a vigorous testing process ensuring there are strong and durable. We only source vegan friendly cords.
WIRES
We use the highest quality of stringing wires that are made from plenty of tiny wires twisted together to guarantee a supple and elegant drape without kinking. We use silver, grey and gold wires coated in nylon making them tarnish resistant wire designed to last a lifetime.
Homeware
CRYSTAL TRAYS & ART
For our crystal charging trays and crystal wall art we use resin made from professional-grade clear resin and hardener with non-toxic materials that are safe and eco-friendly, the resin we use is non-flammable, free of VOCs and solvents. The casting resin has a self-levelling formula that requires no polishing. Once cured our products are resistant to scratches, water, and heat up to 95 C. The UV stabilised formula protects from yellowing and guarantees a lasting ultra-clear look.
